Exclusive MISTRY interview for 3meworld.com

Kibz managed to catch up with the amazing MISTRY – self-made designer to the celebrities, to discuss current fashion, Big Brother and Wolverine???

3meworld.com. Please tell us a little about yourself.

My real name is Kalpesh Mistry but am known to everyone by my artist name - MISTRY. I do custom airbrush designs called "Mister Mistry". It is designed to cater to everyone. Anything artistic I'm into: -canvas, custom designs, music, anything creative.
My clothing range can be transformed into any vibe my client is looking for, where the client becomes the designer as well! Any idea or image I have can be placed onto clothing, jackets, trainers, pretty much anything.
Once you have a piece of my clothing you will be the only one on the planet that has it. I have done designs for Samson, Black the Ripper, Kat Boyce (MTV presenter), Dele Akinz (R&B singer) Master Shortie, Darren B, Larry Kenney (Thudercats voice) and many more

3meworld.com. How did you come across this talent of your?

 I don't view myself really that talented; just what I love doing and believe in. If you have a passion for something and apply yourself, you will achieve. Now that has bit to do with talent but also skill. I try dedicating myself to my craft and work hard to better my artistic talent in creative vision and skills every day.

 
3meworld.com. Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years from now?
 I see myself making a living out of what I love doing best and becoming a more skilful artist.

3meworld.com. How is your art inspired?

 My work is inspired by everything and anything, depending on my mood, the people around me, love, faith, passion, good and evil; so really I’m inspired mainly by my thoughts and vision of life in the real world and dreams.
 
3meworld.com. So Mistry, tell us something about up and coming projects?
I am really focusing on my own original “art on canvas” when I am not doing clothing for clients. I am planning to do an exhibition next year and have a few other new projects collaborating with other artists, clothing lines and working with different designs for corporate clients.

3meworld.com. Given a chance, would you go on Big Brother? And why?
I really am not interested in it. I did try watching it a few times, and was very unimpressed and don't want to waste the time I have on this earth on it. So noooooo way, not me my geeky friends (slight chuckle)!

3meworld.com. Who is you favourite comic book character and why?
 Oh wow! This is a hard one for me. I have so many, so I just say the first character that springs to mind, “WOLVERINE”:- mutant, enhanced physical capabilities, three retracting bone claws on each hand and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin at an accelerated rate. Come on man, he’s a straight up old G! (laughs) can’t believe I still have not done a art piece on him! I did once, but was not satisfied with it so I destroyed it! I am my worst critic at times.
